Any brand is going to have issues. On our 2018 Road Warrior, we experienced a side wall crack, and it was repaired by Heartland at an independent shop in Goshen. The reason we went with Heartland is GD did not offer a residential fridge in their toy haulers, which was a requirement we wanted.
Since you are looking for a used unit, I would also consider what upgrades that have been added by the owner. Don't only consider any known issues with a brand, it is important, but also how that unit was used/taken care of by the owner.
For example, here is a list of upgrades we have done, and I have included prices so you can get an ideal for these items to aid in your decision process:
September 2022 - full rig solar system - $25K
January 2021 - RF Mogul satellite system - $2700
January 2021 - awnings with the aluminum shield covering - $1500
October 2020 - MorRyde Independent Suspension system - $6500
June 2019 - Disc brakes conversion - $4200
September 2020/August 2022 - recoated side patio/rear deck with Durabak non-skid coating - $400
September 2022 - Change out 5-person couch to theater seating and a small desk - $800
August 2022 - removed carpet from bedroom, installed peel n stick tile - $100
So, if you would find a rig with the solar, MorRyde suspension and disc brakes already on the rig, it would get a heavy consideration for buying. Upgrades & maintenance on these rigs is costly, and very important.
It is like your stick & brick home, you have to maintain these things, and it can be costly. Some things you just cannot do on your own, like the MorRyde IS System.
