Help roof leaks

My husband got the camper out of the barn last week, and the roof leaked. My husband says it looks like nails popped up through the rubber roof.
How can we fix this?

For a flat surface I would use Eternabond Tape. For an uneven surface get Self-Leveling Dicor Sealant. Proper surface preparation is vital. For Eternabond Tape you will need a roller.
I would be sure to inspect the wood for rot. Anytime you get water intrusion, mold is also a concern.

If you are saying the nails actually popped up thru the roofing material, you have a big repair in front of you.

Water has probably intruded and caused the roofing material to swell. Not understanding how it happened while stored in a barn? That roof leak as well?

How old is this fifth wheel?

I have no idea what make or year your trailer is so if it is new or within 2 years of new you may get some help from the manufacturer. Depends who that is. A couple years ago some Outdoors RV trailers had roofs that the decking was installed with the wrong size screws which backed out and pierced the membrane. ORV replaced those roofs even on trailers that were past the warranty but not all manufacturers will do that.

If you only had one screw that backed out you could just use some Eternabond but it sounds like you have more which makes me believe the whole roof will eventually need replacing.
