Anything is possible...but at .5 to 1.5 (or more) gallons required per flush, a regular toilet would fill the black tank rather quickly.

Safe travels

Some residential toilets can fill almost to the top. I can't imagine the water in the tank not spilling out in a panic stop.

I would wonder about the amount of water used per flush also. A low flow toilet would help and you could shut the water off and flush before traveling to keep it from sloshing out. You also can adjust the ball float to help with both issues.

Why do you want a home unit? If you want a china toilet there are several RV units.

I would also worry about water in the p-trap in a traditional house toilet vs. a RV toilet. It would be a pain to winterize IMHO.

RV toilet floor flange centerline is typically 11" from back wall & overall length is 19" (back of toilet to front of bolw)

Residential toilet floor flange centerline is 12" from back wall & overall length is 29 1/2"

SO floor flange would need to be moved out from back wall at least an INCH
And then you need enough depth from back wall to cabinets/sink front/other wall etc for at least 30" PLUS SIT DOWN ROOM

Water tank capacity can be limited by use of a filled jug in tank.....taking up space
Water tank can be emptied prior to travel
Water in toilet built in 'P' trap could be lost during travel so FUMES could be inside when you stop

WHY??

More issues trying to install one and use then typical RV toilet

But if you have the necessary SPACE.....go for it.
