Insurance will cover storm damage a lot of the time, I repair lots that are paid by ins. that way.

If you give that info to a repair facility, they will get with Dometic to find exactly what you need for a replacement.

And of course, there are parts that can be had, or just the entire awning if needed.

Try this Company- they had Dometic make a new awning for mine after it opened up on I 75 a few weeks ago- only took a few days.
Give them your numbers off of the Tube as indicated in your picture.
Very Good Prices too !

Measure the track or the distance between where the brackets are or were mounted. Awnings are always by full foot in width. Camping world has the prices listed and will install a new one for $39. I would go with the power model this time however. Small diff in price but huge gain in convenience.

Not exactly. There are half foot awnings.

There are no 1/2 foot awnings. Measure where your brackets are or were and that is the size you need minus a few inches.

Why do you say that?

Just a update to let everyone know...

A) my Insurance Co. - Progressive did cover the awning minus my deductible of course but it's still much better then 100% out of pocket.

B) I got the new Dometic arms with a hydraulic piston which hopefully will circumvent water pooling as it should automatically dump the water.

That said I also don't plan on taking future chances ;-)

Glad to hear your insurance company picked up the tab ( I hate deductibles!). I just had my awning fabric replaced (appox 17') at almost $500 so yours had to be much more expensive. We are looking at buying a new rig in the next year or so and everything we look at has the automatic awnings, whichI hate. Give me the old manual type. We like to connect a sunscreen to ours and with the automatic, that just doesn't seem to work. I always fold my awning up when I leave for any period of time, especially in the summer. Happy Camping!!

Our sun screen goes right on our Dometic power awning. I would never go back to a manual awning.
