Hitch recommendation

I have the 2016 Ford F-350 dually with the hitch prep kit installed. I plan on buying a new mobile suite 38 with the mor-Ryde system. What is a good hitch to purchase?

I'm using a Curt Q20 and it has given me great service for the last 3 years or so. You will get another dozen or so answers and the only thing I'm sure of is all the others will be more expensive.

There is "good" and "best," which is all objective. A lot of people like the B&W brand hitch. Little expensive, but about the "best" you can get without going air ride.

Best non air ride hitch on the market B&W. Curt 5er hitches are all made in China.

20K hitch not enough, so that rules out B&W. To use hitch prep, Reese makes a 26.5K and I think Curt makes a 25K.

The mor ryde suspension will smooth out bumps the tires travel over, but any action at the hitch would be smoothed out by an air ride hitch. However, if the trailer has a pin box with suspension, that would be enough, depending on how much you will pull it.

As far as weight, what is the GVWR of the trailer? The hitch rating needs to be higher than the trailer GVWR.

IMHO and B&W will tell you the same they under rate their hitches compared to the others. I would not hesitate at 20K. They don't magically blow up when the RV hits 20K.

Just compare them side by side!

B&W, American Made, thick metal, massive 1inch jaws, just compare this hitch to any other, and you will see the difference. Nuff said!

I had a B&W and it is a great hitch. I now have a Trailer Saver air hitch. Mechanically it is no better but the difference in the ride is night and day. Watching the action of the trailer while the truck stays still you can see how much motion would be transmitted to the truck without the air hitch. An air ride pin box might do the same thing but I have no experience with them.

I'd like to try out one of those air type pin boxes. Just don't want to pay for one, if it's no better than the Mor ryde.

After my research, before buying my 1st 5th wheel, I bought the B&W patriot. It is really a good product. I have the More-ryde pin box connected to it.

I have the Trailer Saver TS3 air hitch on my truck and the Morryde on the camper. It's a great combination and I would not go back to a non air hitch. I had the Trail Air pin box on a previous camper that had one air bag and a shock absorber and was disappointed with it. It wasn't strong enough with a heavy trailer.
