Hitchcover for Trailersaver BD5

There probably wont be much response to this post being that the BD5 is used by very few people but has anybody found a good source for a cover for the BD5 ? I had a cover shipped from trailersaver but they were basically a B-cue cover. I sent it back

I posted my suggestion on the "other" forum but will repeat it. I would see if a boat motor cover fits. I have one for my 200 Mercury from Bass Pro and it cost less than $50. It cinches at the bottom. I will see how it works later today and get back with you. The one for the 200 to 250 motors might be a little large. They make one for the 150 and 90 to 115 and each is incrementally smaller.

Thanks for the ideas but I might have a custom cover made from an upholstery shop.

Before getting a tonneau cover, I toyed with the idea of buying a large plastic bin and placing it upside down over my TS3. I would have fabricated a hold down system.

We got the "OEM" cover for our BD5 from Trailersaver. My wife then modified it by adding some straps with velcro to the bottom. You slide these straps under the hitch and attach to the other side. The straps hold the cover securely in place at highway speeds. Works great!

My wife modified the cover for our BD3 the same way. The quality of the factory cover is very good but as you mention, it's poorly designed and more like a BBQ cover. It needs straps to hold it securely to the hitch while traveling.

We have the BD3, went to a Home Depot and bought a patio chair cover. It has a natural slope that almost contours to the hitch. I intend to trim off the bottom so it does not bunch up and will look better. so far that project is still on my to do list. I hold it in place with cords.
