How to level a coach for towing?

Hi guys, I see all kinds of leveling discussions when the Coach is stationary. But what about for traveling?

How do you determine that the truck hitch and Coach pinbox are set properly for a level tow?

My thought is as long as you don’t change truck/Coach, once it’s set correctly it’s good to go from then on right? As long as you keep the right tire pressure as well.

So how do you set things up for a proper level tow?

Once it is set, it should be good. Why would it change every time you hook to travel, same truck, same 5th wheel?
Check the level with a good bubble level on the truck and then the bottom of the 5th wheel.
When we had the MorRyde IS system installed, they measured from the top down to get height, then in 3 spots from the bottom of the frame to the ground to make sure all 3 measurements are the same.

Hitchup and check if trailer is running nose high, nose low or level

Nose high is common
How much....less then 2" call it level

More then 2" nose high
Then one can raise pin box, lower hitch....just maintain that bed rail clearance (I prefer 7"....folks get by with 6")

Can't level via pin box/hitch adjustments ....look at 5vr spring shackles
Are their adjustment holes? (mine has 3)
They were in middle holes....I swapped springs to bottom hole...added 3" overall
**Watch total height of 5vr....Mine went to 13'4"

No adjustment holes in shackles (or have torsion bars)
Subframe.....weld required height needed (3", 4" etc) with boxed channel
Weld lateral supports side to side
Weld shackles/suspension back on.

Any of the above are set and be done ---same truck/trailer

Level towing
*better pin weight
*better weight distribution on trailer tires/axles
*smoother ride/control----less sway/chuckling
