HR 5th wheel 36SKQ

I have a 2005 fifth wheel travel trailer and am having issues with the pull out cables for the holding tanks. They need to be replaced. Any input will be appreciated.

Don't know about your specific fifth wheel, but not an uncommon issue. Some people drop the underbelly and install electronic valves. If you are going to replace you probably need to replace the valve and the pull cables. Just be sure your black tank is very empty. Lots of videos on youtube.

Hi JIMBOY, I have a 2007 37SKQ with 3 cables, I dread having to replace them as they are burried over the coroplas. I lube the handle rods often to keep them moving easy. I don't know where to find replacements when necessary. I'll wait for someone to respond that knows.

Hello, I have a 2004 presidential 36 sqk and can help. I had to cut a flap in the underbelly to get up inside. Once up inside you may have to cut another as they are laid out one after another and all tie together with one outlet. You will have to cut a U shaped opening then patch with gorilla tape and some plastic plugs when done. I can send a pic of mine if you wish. I have three pull handles for all three tanks and they are open at all times with a valterra shutoff on the outlet. Got this tip from an old guy a couple years back and works great. As long as your tanks are mounted inside the underbelly at the same height and ptraps for vanities, ect it will work. I was always paranoid of the same thing that has happened to you. Please let me know and maybe we can discuss what I have done. I have 3 40 gallon tanks and the water, sewage, gray water will slowly fill all three tanks the same. Water, water and more water is the secret to the black tank staying clear of plug ups. Works great for me !!!! I also put a flow meter on my water hose connection to tell me how much water has come into the unit.

Cable replacement

Hello: My immediate issue is to empty the grey water tank. As mentioned before, the cable is broken but I will address replacing the cable later. Thank you again for your input.

Input will be appreciated on how to access the grey water tank and manually empty it. The pull handle cable has broken and is no longer usable. I am new to this type of communication so please bear with me. Thank you.
