I need advice on a 5th wheel purchase ..
Newbe to Be needs advice on RV choice......
Which is the better RV for full time living...Crossroads Seville,Crossroads Rushmore,Teton, or DRV..... I can buy used in my price range-30k/35k-....... just do not know anything about which RVs are considered the best -or- why they are considered the best.......I want 36'-40',large fridge, lots of bedroom storage, isle in kitchen if possible, well insulated,low maintenance......... All opinions welcome and will be very appreciated..... also , please let me know if there are any other RVs I should consider......

Bought a 07.5 36SB3 DRV in late 11 for a good price. Lived in it for 3.5 years then traded for current 16 39TKSB3 DRV
Could be wrong the others you mentioned are not in the same category.
We did not loose much on trade compared to purchase price. Teton's are good quality rigs but you may not have access to parts if needed. Glen West can advise more on this.
Understand these two rigs WILL NEED a Dually at the least.

Teton or DRV, but be aware these are HEAVY 5'vers and will need at least a dually to haul them. As said above, the others don't compare, especially for full timing.

A DRV in the 30-35k range will be around an '07; '06 if well cared for. The Crossroads should be much newer at that price range. A Teton is what you find it for--well built, sturdy and very heavy, but they haven't been mfg for maybe 8 years or more.
My '05 DRV 36TK3 weighs in at 17400 with 42-4400pin weight, they are heavy but durable, if well maintained.

You might also look at a used Carriage or Excel

Teton is the best but will be older and very heavy. DRV is a little step down from Teton but Cross Roads are not in the same ball park.
Add NuWa, Carrige Carri-Lite, Perterson Excel Winslow or Limited to your possible used FT rigs.

I would go with a DRV if you can find a used one in GOOD condition. Get a BIG truck o haul it. Of course you can tow it with a 350 or 450 dually but do you really wan to?
Spend he extra to find a low mileage mid or class 8 and you will be happier.
Nothing worse than seeing the trailer wagging the tow vehicle.

When buying used, the condition and the way it was cared for is really more important than the manufacturer.

I like that I can **somewhat** fit into places easier than with a big truck. But if someone wants a MDT or HDT, more power to them.

Agree! The fact is many are dumping their MDT trucks for the 13 and up RAM's.
