Tumble Weed, Yes! We're on our 4th one. Our first was a '90 model bought in '93, and our latest, an '04 bought in '13. As technology improved, we'd upgrade as money allowed. We spent two Wyoming winters in our'90, while we were having our home built. We went through quite a few -30 F mornings, stayed comfortable and never froze a water line in the unit. We were convinced that they were as advertised! As with any unit, they can have issues. The biggest thing to watch for would be any water leakage at seams on roof or slides. As you are probably aware they are wood framed, which has plusses and minuses. A negative would be weight (our '95 Royal weighed 21,980 when loaded and ready for an outing) and rot if unit were to leak. The positive: the vacuum laminate sides are "very" strong and "do not" create frost lines on inside walls in cold weather. Teton had "in house" built frames (probably among the strongest in industry), and the largest brakes in the industry (except for the early years). They had a patent on their "big and tall" basement storage, which is "very" large! Watch for floor rot in the slides (particularly in the '03's, as there seemed to be quite a few units that had inadequate draining in the "j"frame channels). Overall, good units! I hope that we can keep our's rolling until we quit rv'ing! If you want more info, PM me and I'll try to help! Good Luck with your searches! memtb

yes, we have an 03. Very well built unit. Agreed heaviest chassis I have seen on any 5ther. Real wood and ours is oak. Our carpet is showing wear but is 14 years old. As is common knowledge units built latter years had issues. Company going under and quality showed it. We have been in ours 3 years and are very content with it. It is heavy. Ours is a 40 foot and we weigh 21k. We are full time though. I started out towing with a 2012 Chevy dually diesel. Bowed rear springs downward, arched wrong way. Added air bags and ride now so stiff not comfortable to drive. We now tow with an HDT, think Semi. But with the heavy pin has always towed like a dream. Ours is a keeper. Barring an accident we intend this to be our last.

Many may not know this. Teton never closed up due to bankruptcy. They just werent making the money they once did so they closed up. The owners of teton own the RV International Hall Of Fame. They are loaded with money.

I'm looking at 2006 and 2007 and they are hard to find.
I have 2011 carriage and just hard to hear or cool. I've been traveling for 5 years full time. Figure when I stop I want to live in the Teton.
Is the leveling easy to do they seem to have where you adjust it one leg at a time.
Hey thanks for your help every one.

We had a 03 Teton bought April of 03. It was the smallest they made at 34'. Just traded it off last week for our 02 Monaco. They were by far the best built 5th wheel on the market. Our real wood looked as good when we traded it as when we bought. My in-laws would stay in it for the winter out here in the desert. Daughter stayed in it full time for 1 1/2 year over in Phoenix. We took it places aka Boondocking most Tetons would never go.
I don't think you could go wrong with a Teton. Main problem we had was tires. Don't ask how many blow outs I had.
Once I switched out to 17.5 tires & rims tire problem was gone.
As ours sat in the desert sun after 14 years the decals were faded very bad.
I paid over $75k for it back in 03. Except for the outside decals I haven't seen a new 5th wheel at that price that even comes close to the Teton I had.

For used, did you see this reseller:
Teton Homes RV Dealers Directory - Teton Homes RVs for Sale including Luxury Fifth Wheels
Seems the factory website (www-dot-tetonhomes-dot-com) has been hacked...don't go there
Best luck

Go to the Tetoners.org forum, they sometimes have units for sale. The Tetoners website for the TCI club also usually have some for sale. They usually have good prices and most units appear to be in good shape.
Love my second Teton, first one lasted 10 years (1997 - 2007)then got the present one just because it was more fully equipped. So far other than tires, mostly problem free with over 65,000 miles on it. New 17.5" wheels and tires fixed the tire problems, I think.
Good luck with your search.

Longer 5ver prob. Anything over 38ft most likely has 3 axles. As for specs the triple axle is prob around 17k empty and 25% on the pin.
