In-Line Water Filter Identification help!

Our new to us Ameri-Camp is equipped with an in-line water filter under the sink. It apparently is plumbed in so it filters all water used, whether from the city connection or the holding tank. I am rather fond of this idea, so I would like to keep it in place. The only problem, it does not currently have a filter cartridge in place, but a by-pass hose. I would say the hose is about 12" long, and it has a quick connect fitting on each end. A photo of the end should be attached. I am wondering if anyone has a hot lead on a replacement filter? If it is obsolete, no problem, I will just buy a different style filter and replace it all. I just wanted to see if anyone had an idea what this was before hacking it all out.

THanks!

That is the problem...no filter, just the bypass hose.

I have been looking online, and have had no luck finding anything remotely similar. So I bought a complete new filter assembly. I will get pics of it when it is installed.

Just a guess but maybe whoever added that filter system used a product that may have disappeared as a company in the last recession.

Why not just install a new cartridge canister that uses a standard 2.5"x10" filter element. With that you can purchase a new element with from Amazon or any Big Box Store. This type element can ge purchased with many different levels of filtration from sediment to every kind of nasty bug or chemical.

Here's a sample: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=water+fil...b_sb_ss_i_2_13

The filter was on the unit when purchased new in 2005, so a good chance that it is no longer available. I will have to get pics later, but I installed a whole house style cartridge filter system. I need to "finish" the install to make it nice and pretty and more long term, but I think it is going to work well.

My Fleetwood came from the factory with an under sink filter. It uses a Hydrolife filter HL 170QC. It also uses the bypass hose that you show when winterizing, see attached.

Bingo Bango! That is the unit! Thank you for that! Even though I am not using it anymore, it would bug me until I finally got the correct answer!
