Installing landing gear switch

Hello out there! I’m in the process of replacing my landing gear switches. Bought them from Amazon. They are opposite from the old ones. They work in reverse when connected the same way as the old ones. I’ve tried a few times changing the wires around but I don’t want to burn up the switch. Anybody know the correct way? It’s a standard 4 prong with the jumpers

Reverse the two wires or the motor leads. 12VDC is polarity sensative so it will make ZERO difference to the switch or motor.

NO!

Look at Old Biscuit's drawing

swap the long black and red
or
swap the short black and pink

when my switch was acting up.... I installed a 12v 50 amp winch reversing solenoid that I purchased on Amazon for $18 or so.... my switch would heat up and cause issues..... but now the solenoid carries all the load... for me this was a better fix than that small switch caring all that load...

Mine was changed at some point to two separate switches. That is a good idea though. Thanks for the insight

Come to find out after two new switches. Whoever cut the hole for the duel switches, cut the hole too small and it was putting pressure on the switches making them stick. So after a little fileing that fit good and problem solved. That is after changing the motor leads
