Jayco 30.5 CKTS

While comparing the Jayco 30.5 ckts / GD 303rls) the 2 units my wife and I have it narrowed down to, I noticed the Jayco does not have the max air vent fan in the kitchen. Anyone by chance know a cost of having one installed? The Jayco is a bit longer than I wanted to go but the wife really likes it and I am leaning to the GD 303rls.

I bought my MaxxFan on Amazon and replaced it myself for about $150 so probably double that at a dealer. If I was going new I would get it added to the deal as well as one in the bathroom. The wimpy bathroom fans they come with are noisy and don't move much air.

In the Jayco's they do not have any fan in the kitchen on the 2 units we looked at. I wonder if someone ordered them that way then?

Same comparison

We are comparing the same units and cannot decide. The Jayco has the whisper quiet and a super floor plan but the GD 303RLS has the Nautilus system and cargo hatches have the magnet mounts and not the struts that always get in the way. I read a lot of forums and both Jayco and GD have complaints but that is normal for the industry I guess. I asked a GD dealer about the Whisper Quiet AC and he said it was in fact more quiet. The GD 303 has vents in the island and it does inhibit air flow by 37%. Your thoughts?

Welcome to the forum. The magnet catches can be added to any trailer so I would not use those things as a deal breaker. Try to look behind the cabinets/access panels to get an idea of how each is finished. You can tell so much more by looking under and behind things. Are the cabinets roto-torqued to the wall frame or just stapled? What material is the subfloor and how thick is it? Plywood or OSB? Plywood is better but costs more.

Trailer builders want you to focus on the fancy icing that you can add yourself while they hope you will not look too close at how the actual cake is baked.

Try looking at Outdoors RV or Lance for comparison purposes.
