Keyless entry locks

I think I read too much. :-) In one of the posts here on irv2 people were complaining about how their keyless entry panels didn't work. One person had it replaced 3 times and it still wasn't working. Is this an issue with anyone else? I think it would be wonderful to have, but ONLY if it isn't a touchy item than has idiosyncratic things wrong with it. After all, it IS the entry door, so that would not be a good thing to have issues with. We're trying to nail down the items we want on our fifth wheel purchase, so I'd appreciate your feedback on this. Thanks so much!

We like ours. We've had them for a few months now and no issues. I still carry a key though. Just in case.

We love ours. No problems but you do need to read the manual. You have to wake it up before entering the code.

Love

We love our keyless entry. The only time we have had any problem was when the batteries needed replacing. Did that great again.

Thanks, everyone! I think keyless sounds great, so we'll get it. But I'll remember to keep a key just in case!

I don't carry a key, but I do have one hidden just in case. And when you go to lock it and hear a chirp, it's time to change batteries

No "waking up" ours. I keep saying I should replace the batteries since we have used ours for 7 months now. So far zero issues. I don't carry a key but I do have a secret hiding place. I do know this is a different model than DRV previously used. Sounds like they did have issues.

We have a Bauer keyless and it works great. Have had to replace batteries once in 16 months of fulltiming. I also keep a key hidden as well

Our 2012 keystone Alpine came with a keyless entry but wasn't connected to anything? My husband peeled it off. Not sure if the Luxe we ordered has that feature or not. In any case , overall the keyless entry seems improved from I am reading.

One thing that helped me was spending the time to "rekey" the RV to a single key... That way I don't have to carry a bunch of keys with me. The step up from there would be keyless!
