While at the Houston RV show last weekend, a dealer was selling a Kipor 3500TI with electric start for $969. I know it isn't a Honda or Yamaha but for more output than a EU 3000 for half the price, I went for it.

After getting it home and firing it up I found it to be extremely quite. It also runs with very little vibration and has a 30 amp/120 volt twist plug in.

I did a search on the forum and found very little info on this generator. Has anyone owned or had any experience with them? Feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

The KIPOR's appear to be an exact copy of the Honda's. Don't know if they paid to copy it or just did it (I think they are from China so most likely they just bought one, copied it, and started selling them).

So far NO issues with our KGE 3500 Ti at home or in the trailer.

Although we have yet to dry camp, it has run both the A/C and electric hot water heater in the trailer during the heat of summer last year when our home water heater was damamged in a flood. The electric start is perfect in an emergency like when the power goes out and you need back up in a hurry.

Mike.

I have a 2000 Ti and love it 60% of the honda price and is as quiet, as light weight and has had no problems, and has been carried a lot of miles in the front compartment of my 5RV

I don't know?!?!?! Made in china says a lot. Will it last like a honda? I doubt it.

The honda is made right here in the good ol USA!! Sorry, but I think that says something!! and I am supporting OUR ecconomy.
I just put on my flame suit so I am now ready for everyone to start shooting flames!!!

I see alot of chinas spin offs, IMHO you get what you pay for. That not to say that you can't get a quality product from them, but it will cost approx the same as anyone elses quality product.
