Are there after matket makers of 5er landing gear that make a better product? Also is it possible to get seperate RL motors? It would be nice to adjust seperatly and also have the option of operationg both with one control. I know pipe dreams. LOL

For a better product, HWH and Bigfoot both make hydraulic landing gear systems that level the 5er. You can get manual systems that require you to do the four leg extensions, via a switch panel, to make the 5er level. The other option is the automatic system where you just press a button and the 5er does its own thing to get level.

One difference between the HWH system and Bigfoot involves the hydraulic fluid cannister. HWH uses a central cannister while Bigfoot uses a cannister at each of the four legs.

To answer you other question, assuming that "RL" means "right" and "left" in terms of the electric leg motors, yes you can get them. I have them and they have two switches to operate them seperately.

My motor driven leveling legs work independently as there is a separate set of switches for each. If your rig is motor controlled it should not be too great a problem to split the control and give you independent control. Our air ride bags area also independently controlled so I can inflate/deflate teh air bags independently. I never have had to use wooden blocks to level the rig.
