2010 Kz spree 5er

Last trip when I flushed the tank water was running out of light fixture in basement. That flush hose comes into the basement and then goes up through floor. Puzzles me because I don't see where it goes back down. Doesn't it have to go down at some point to get to the tank underneath? There's a valve under sink above it but I always thought that was an air leak check valve for city water connection. Any thoughts on how that line for the flusher is plumbed?

That's a vacuum break in the line to the tank , to prevent bacteria from the tank from coming back to the hose hook up.
The plastic ones are prone to leaking and there are brass versions available.

Thanks.....I'll look at that valve this afternoon. I don't really think that's where it's leaking just because of where the water was dripping but worth a look and if it is it's a very easy fix so fingers crossed haha

Thanks again....that was it. Local place didn't have any brass valves so I had to use a plastic one. I'll order a brass one to throw on there at some point. The plastic one lasted 7 years so I have a little time to get it done.

Should have been located at a high point in the water system--usually behind the shower wall?

The vacuum break is only in the black tank flush plumbing, and just has to be higher than the , highest possible level of water ( and other stuff ) in the toilet bowl to do it's job.
Most that I've seen are under the vanity sink.

I don't recall ever seeing any unit with anything in the kitchen connected in any way to the black tank, vent/vacuum break or anything else. My black tank flushers have always had a separate feed line that goes only to the tank and has a vacuum break in it higher than any water point in the trailer. Maybe I'm wrong, but just doesn't make any sense to me to have ANY way to have a connection between the black tank and the rest of the plumbing system, except for the flush line...
If you are talking about the highest level of water in a trailer, wouldn't it be the shower controls, which in most fivers is higher than the sink vacuum break.

It was on the dedicated flusher line under the vanity in my bathroom. I would think it would just need to be higher than the black tank and water connection for the flush system which mine is.

While we're talking flushers.......are the wand flushers worth the hassle? Reason I ask is I have a 2nd grey tank for the kitchen and back bedroom sink. I'd love to be able to flush and clean that out every now and then. I would also use it on my main grey tank. It's not really a must have but have always wondered how well those work vs the pain it had to be to use them.

They won't go through the P traps . If your talking about the type I think you are.

Many members report success , using dish detergent (1/4 cup) washed into the tank with a gallon of hot water, and 1/4 tank of water , then a short drive before dumping , takes a while for the foam to clear , but helps with any smell.
