In other words, boondocking without electric doesn't seem to be an option. Has anyone else had experience with the new technology and wish to share?
Toggle switches are no longer available with the new technology at least for some of the basic functions I expect.
Sure seems that this new technology was not fully thought out.

I had not heard of the Linc Pad before you mentioned it so I poked around the web a little to see what I could learn. It seems that this is one component of Lippert Components MyRV control system, which would seem to be a next generation control system with promise, that is if you can get it to work the way you want. This is not to say that the MyRV system has any problems of which I'm aware, but you have indicated that it won't work on your rig's 12 volt system, that it requires "electric", and that you can't use it without shore power (or perhaps running a generator?).
By "electric" you must mean 110-120 volts as you would have when connected to shore power or running a generator. Perhaps using "110 volts" when you write about this would be a little more clear than "electric" because, after all, 12 volt is electricity too.
I cannot at this time offer you any specific information about the MyRV system because I haven't had the time to learn about it, but I can suggest, if you haven't tried them already, that you might be able to get help from Lippert Components. You can find their web page via a quick search. Perhaps they can offer a solution. They do publish contact information.
Please let us know what you learn.
