Lippert keys

My new to me 2016 winnebago destination came with lots of keys but none of them lock the Lippert/ Southco slam latches. on the exterior storage doors. The dealership is 300 miles away and no help. I am wondering what I can do to get keys. Thanks!

See if the cylinders and keys have matching numbers. Then try lubricating the lock cylinders. They are notorious for getting cranky if not lubed & used regularly. Small spray can on lock lube for a hardware store , then slide the key in and out several times.

It's a Southco R001. You can find them on eBay for as low as $3.99 per key, cheapest I see at the moment. I bought 4 on eBay last month for $11.00 including shipping. The best lock lube is Lok Shot. I had to buy it online but some locksmiths carry it. Non greasy, won't attract dirt and is the best lock lube I've ever found.

Be aware that if you buy keys online that the seller may just be copying existing keys onto blanks with NO markings on them. Had that happen to me, which I found very irritating. Had I known, I'd've asked if they stamped or engraved the # on them.

Keep in mind ...

Keep in mind that most locks on RV's all use the same key 751 for storage, only doors seem to be somewhat different. The RV next to you most likely has the same key you do.

There are places online that can give you a somewhat different key/tumbler for very little money. One advantage to this is you can get every lock on your RV keyed the same and you don't have to carry a hand full of keys.

Locks

This is where I got all my locks. Just remember that as you go around and count and measure the outside door to the dryer may be behind the entry door and if that door is open you will miss it.
