Lippert Solid Steps
I have a 2011 Cardinal 3450 RL and have a set of Solid Steps to install and
It appears that I need to grind or cut the lip off right below the door so it will close when the steps are deployed. Has anyone installed the these steps on a similar Forest River product ? Thanks for any input from a solid step or Moryde step owner.

Is there any way you can put a spacer like a block of wood between the steps so they will clear and just get longer screw's?

Got them mounted, an excellent upgrade as my old dog will be able to navigate the steps for another year!

Lippert steps
there are 2 different manufacturers of these types of steps, Lippert brand, and MoRide. I have noticed that Lippert doesn't always work and have seen that Lippert says that on some models of campers. (you can contact them and ask). I have seen several posts on other forums with both brands not working well on some models, the screen doors and on some the exterior doors need cut off to get them to work. Another downfall is, if you have to close up the camper in the rain, people complain about the mess inside the camper later when the rain and mud fall into the floor. I do like that they are sturdy and have the wider top step, but Hubby and I decided to wait until these issues are solved before we have them installed. we bought a ramp last year for our senior dog to use to get in and out of the camper. https://www.google.com/search?q=soli...hrome&ie=UTF-8

Because of the dirt and space needed for those steps, I went with these

I have used mine in the rain . I have a foot wipe mat in front. What little water there is drips on that. At least they are not soaking wet from driving in the rain when you set up. Just need to decide what serves you best.

And just what are those steps Bob? They look like they stow under the door in the standard opening, do they have adjustable feet? I am looking for a similar set but obviously have done no research yet.

Is that TorkLift or TorkFlex. I know of TorkLift coming from truck campers as they make a lot of products for them. I can't seem to find the TorkFlex.
IF TorkLift here is their web site

I liked the idea of less pivot points on Solid Steps as the accordion type steps might need some maintenance down the road.
