Locating correct 5th wheel hitch

I have a 2014 Gmc 2500 denali with 6.6 box. I bought the truck 4 years ago. . I recently purchased a 5th wheel camper so I removed the plastic bedliner to find holes previous drilled in the truck bed. I would love to utilize these holes instead of drilling new ones. I believe it to be the rail type there are 8 total holes drilled in the bed. the 4 holes closest to the cab are spread out wider than the rear ones. Does anyone have a template or maybe I could submit a diagram of what I have to find out what brand of hitch the previous owner had in the truck. thanks in advance.

Sounds like it could be standard rails. If that is the case, all you need is to reinstall a set of rails and then pick the hitch that best fits your needs. I think any of the universal rail systems uses 8 bolts. 4 for the front rail and 4 for the back rail.

Universal rails should probably have the correct hole spacing to match the holes in the bed of your truck. The bed holes are pass through holes and your rails need to be bolted to heavy brackets which are attached to the frame of your truck. Bolting your hitch rails only to the bed of your truck will result in a big expensive problem. Hopefully the previous owner left the undermount brackets.

regardless of what holes are in the bed I would suggest you get a sliding hitch. the cost difference between a auto sliding hitch is a just a few hundred BUT the dent in the cab and broken back window is $3000+ . I had a demco auto slide with IRS rails in my 6.5 ' bed , it worked perfect.
