Long term storage

Advice Please.
Bought a (new-to-us) 2007 DRV Elite Suites 38' to take up to Alaska to use as a "fishing cabin" during summer months. Our intent is to leave it there in an RV campground in Soldotna for as many years as we desire to fish salmon, God willing at least 5-10 years (I am 71 yo). I had 4 new Michelin tires installed for the long haul up North from Portland, OR but i need advice about storage. Should I put the fifth wheel up on blocks/stands and keep the tires slightly off the ground or do I just let the rig sit on the new tires? Do I block the axles or frame? I do plan to put covers on the tires, BTW. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it may be a moot point. With 5-10 years as the goal, your tires will most likely time out and need replaced. Covering them will definitely help and checking tire pressure occasionally will be needed, but the "shelf life" of the tires is going to most likely require replacement in the time span you shared.

I would block the trailer and sell the new tires and wheels if the trailer was mine under those circumstances.
In 5-10 years the tires just sitting wouldn't be worth buying. As probably the trailer/wheels and bearings.
If you need to move it then low cost steel wheels and cheap tires will get it going.

Some CG will not allow units without tires/wheels. Suggest you check this before removing and selling.
