I agree with the toy hauler ideas. Never get into the I got to have this unit thinking. Always be prepared to walk if the deal is not right for you.

You are talking about the upper limits of most 5ths. Thus it will be heavy. Make sure you have or are willing to buy the required truck to safely tow it. Expect a 1 ton diesel.

Don't know the ages of the boys, but since they are already 6ft+ I'd guess some one may be going off in a couple years. At that time you needs may change enough to get something different. So consider factoring that into your planning process.

IMO- to get something like you want, quality and under 100k new may be hard. I'd at least consider a used one in what ever model you like. You'll get more for your money.

So far I have found dealers who are doing HUGE mark down. When MSRP IS $133 and getting for $79k or found another for $98k and selling it for $62k. Amazed on how much mark up is these. Already huge discounts on 2020’s. 2019’s are about $7-8k less.

This is a very difficult place to get an objective opinion on brands.

You should start by looking at the offerings in your local RV dealerships. If there are any RV shows going on, it's even better to get all brands in one place. There will often be one or two brands that stick out--relative to the price.

We are very fortunate to have four huge RV dealers in our middle size city. And we're fortunate to have many, many campgrounds and two state park resorts within an hour.

Only from what I've seen at Dealers/RV Shows The Grand Design is better quality. 35% off that MSRP is about 75k Nothing bad about the Cedar Creek. That advertised sale price is too high based on the 30-35% off msrp rule. You should be able to get that between 62-68k maybe even better if your a good negotiator.

Ok. Have been looking a lot. Have it down to top 4. No particular order.

1. Keystone Montana 3761 with Full body paint loaded to the max. 2 whisper AC units, 2 awnings. Got them from $121k to $78k

2. KZ Durango Gold 386FLF, wife loves because of 2nd fire place and dishwasher standard in this model.2 awnings and slide out awnings. 3 whisper AC units. $115k down to $72k.

3. Jayco North Point 382FLRB Love the cottage Farm look and seems to be same layouts. What I like is dual TVs is hide-a-tv area. One for living and kitchen. Whisper AC Don’t have pricing yet rep said $72-75k

4. Grand Design Solitude 380FL full body paint loaded nicely too. $118k down to $83k, but no whisper AC units.

Any RV designer that thinks that dark colors on an RV, needs to sit in one in Yuma in July for 24 hours. About as smart as those stupid steps they're all putting in their rigs.

Smart! I know that you can feel the heat radiating off the front wall in my KZ, due to the stupid black cap. One of my "roundtuits" is to have it painted to match the sidewalls, with minimal black trim. If I =had= to have some black on the cap, though, I thought a nice frontal shot of UP 4014, pre-oil conversion, would be pretty cool!
