I'm on this forum because I was looking at RV stuff.....but we have a houseboat that has an inverter on it to run our TV's, ice box and I can make coffee in the morning....the batteries 2- deep cycle gel cells, big batteries, like on heavy equipment can run my appliances all day....I recharge with our generator while cooking meals.....I do have a large fuse with the system....that we have had to replace a couple of times.....do you have a fuse of some sort between the batteries and the inverter ? I also, had a battery swell up on my Big Horn a yr after we purchased her.....then had to have the converter replaced the following summer which they put a larger one in.....sometimes I wonder about the wiring of our rig!
