Midbunk anyone ??

What are the thoughts, advantages/disadvantages on the midbunk models? With a loft...

Love the new Keystone Laredo 380MB... trying to decide if I need to start saving up for the upgrade -

We like having a spare bedroom but still rear living room layout - the principal advantage of the midbunk. When we're alone (most of the time) it's a very convenient store room - slash - den (and all the other non-kid reasons to have bunkrooms). We have the Montana HC 370BR so no loft. We would have liked having a loft for more large item storage (no grandkids yet) but wanted a light trailer and the Cougar version just rubbed us wrong aesthetically.

Edit - I suppose a downside is that it adds a slideout where a bunkhouse wouldn't have one, but as said above, it gives full rear livingroom seating. The big bunkhouse 5ers we saw had theatre seats plus loveseat instead of theatre seats plus full couch.

Been intrigued by the mid bunk layout too. However, I have not yet found one within the towing limits of my f250 PSD. . .argghh.

Jonnyyaiks has it right. My Daughter n SIL have the Wilderness Heritage and he uses it for work besides camping. It retains the rear living and he doesn't slide it out when my daughter & grandkids are not there, so it reduces area to cool/heat.
