Yep. You're in the ballpark. :0) we get 11-14 running our 6.7 DRW 2011 F350. 10 was our worse mileage in windy conditions through mountains and traffic.

you're definitely ball park. I kinda agree with John.....once you get ball park the rest is just a guy being a guy. 1 or 2 mpg really isn't going to make or break a trip. I get hung up on it too though. I swapped wheels/tires over this year on the truck and noticed I was consistently down 1 mpg. It was driving me insane because I kept the same tire and went to a lighter rim so why the drop? Eventually I just got over it. Seems like I may have come up with a theory but I don't even remember what that was now.  I spent many of hours driving though pondering that 1 mpg.

Towing my 20k RV with a 2014 F350 dually 6.7 diesel I was getting around 9.1 mpg on average until they switched over to winter fuel. I just got 8.6 mpg driving it 550 miles back to Elkhart with the winter mix.

Are the weights stated the sticker weight of the trailer?? Get the actual scaled weight of the truck, trailer and all cargo (GCW) Then start comparing. Wind is the #1 mileage killer. Love them tail winds. Some trailers have better aerodynamics.

Bio also has a big effect for me. Towing 17,500 I get 8.2-8.5 running bio even though I try to limit it to 5%. This summer running all over Colorado using pure diesel it was 10+ all the time. Not towing in Colorado 18.5 to 20.5. In Texas with bio 16 -18.5.

my scaled weight at the time including RV, tow vehicle, 3 passengers, and all contents of RV and tow vehicle was ~30,500lbs

Avg around 10 mpg towing. 16-17 mpg when not towing.

I had forgotten how much that hurt my fuel mileage. At least 2 mpg less towing or empty. Some stations in the Midwest such as Flying J or Love's 'proudly announce' that they are shafting you with up to 20% for their inflated price. I also found out last tank that our local stations with up to 10% bio AND winter mix have killed my mileage for this year.

Towing I get 12.2 towing on a average I keep the truck at 64 mph when towing. This picture is at the end of a 2 hour trip not towing from TN to NC keeping it at 64mph.

I only figure my MPG with a calculator. That is miles traveled divided by gallon used. If you go by what the vehicle read out says it will make you feel good but it lies. 
On last vacation of 4000 + miles I averaged 9.97. As low as 6.9 on one tank & high was 12.8 towing. That was from here in the desert of So. Cal. to the N/E corner of South Dakota & back. Worst was in Wyoming fighting a 45 degree head wind. Best was flat inter-state in Nebraska. I use tow/haul but shift as needed. Normal tow speed is 62.
