I got on the hiway 3 miles from my house in NC on rt77 hit no traffick pulled off hiway in Winchester VA topped off because of fuel price and back on hiway to hotel that is about 2 miles from Turnpike exit in Feastervill PA keep Cruse at 72 mph most of the time. That is allmost what I get not towing. I must admit I have never got that good towing usually around 14 to 16 with my empty car trailer it weights about 2,000 it is heavy 18 ft dovetail equipment trailer with full wood deck.

We have a 2015 Silverado 3500 HD DRW towing our 2010 Mobile Suites 36TKSB. Most of our trips have been 400-800 miles round trip and we average about 10-12 mpg. In the hills we get 3-7 mpg and 10-13 on the flatter areas. The truck weigh in at 9k, trailer at 17,500k and has a 4k pin weight.

We have a '16, 350 Lariat, SRW, 4X4, 6.7 towing a 14K 5th wheel. Truck gets 10.5 if I can keep my big foot out of it, which isn't to often on the hills. Truck only has about 8K on it. Getting ready to tow the 5th wheel from N.Y. to Fla. in the morning which is a pretty flat tow, so we should be between 10 & 11.

My younger brother has a 16 F350 DRWLB and tows a 16K 5th wheel and gets in the 9-10 range.
After reading some other posts I think I should alert him to the fact that some who own Ram 3500's on this forum are getting up to 30 mpg unloaded and 10-15 towing. I knew that Fords were just junk and if I could I would not accept my new 2017 F250 when it rolls in any day. Why did I make some a silly mistake? How dumb am I?
