Mobile Suites 1/2 Bath Tecma Toilet Issues
We just bought Mobile Suites 44' Houston bath and 1/2 5th wheel. The half bath tecma toilet has stopped flushing twice now due to the line to the black tank being plugged. There are 4 90 degree turns going to the black tank according to the mechanic we had repair it the first time. I'm now thinking that the tecma toilet may be bad and not macerating/pumping with enough force to get to the black tank.
We are not newbies as we have been RVing since 2005 and there hasn't been anything but rv/septic tank toilet paper used. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. The dealer says they haven't had any issues before that they are aware of.
Thanks in advance for any help/comments,
John

Many RVers put no paper down the toilet to eliminate this problem.

The Tecmas take a lot more water than a regular toilet--try that for a while, see if that helps. Many mentions of the Tecmas being more of a problem than normal gravity drop.

We had a Tecma in our last motorhome never had any issues. We used Charmin ultra soft and the Tecma never failed to flush. I'd question four 90 degree bends in the discharge pipe. Maybe construction debris is blocking discharge.

Mobile Suites 1/2 Bath Tecma Toilet Issues
Ours is six months old and no problems yet. Do you know why or where specifically it’s getting blocked?
We have a regular toilet in the back and the Tecma in the mid half-bath and use the Tecma exclusively for all #2 to avoid poop pyramids. The pump is needed to push the stuff to the single rear black tank. We use Costco Kirkland septic safe toilet paper in it.
I have a digital water flow meter on our city water hose. A water-saver flush uses one-half of a gallon and a full flush uses exactly one gallon.
I’m thinking your guess is correct or your starting water level is too low. Or you’re not using the full flush for #2?

Replace it with Toto bidet and you don't have to use toilet paper.

The Toto won't work. RV builders install macerator toilets like the Tecma when the toilet is not directly over or near the black tank. The macerator pump breaks up the solids and pumps the discharge to the black tank, which may be far away from the toilet.
