Montana Mountaineer 295RKD Questions
Last summer, on a DUMB lark, I got rid of my Hitchhicker.. the best 5er I've ever owned.. much less been in.. IMO. We were "sold" on getting a motorhome for a number of years. For US.. a WRONG move.
So, we are wanting to get rid of the motorhome and went shopping today. We wanted a sub 30' with a bedroom slideout, mainly for the large closet in the front end which our HH had.
So, looking today (wow, can't believe how they have gone up in price.() we saw the Montana Mountaineer 295RKD. When we started researching 5er's back in 2000.. we would never have looked at a Keystone product. But, today they don't look too bad.
So, my question is.. what are your thoughts on this manufacturer/model/ etc.
We will be trading our Holiday Rambler Admiral SL in on it. It's a beautiful 34' model with lots of options.. but will only get low blue on it for the trade.. but, it will be gone.. and we will (?) be back into a 5er.
We will have to come up with $3000 plus the MH. I have only a bit of an idea on the value of the K MM.. and it's priced about $6K.. can't remember exactly as I didn't take notes.. duh..
Anyhow, thoughts appreciated. I think the only upgrade this 5er has is the king sized bed vs queen.

We have been pleased with our Montana Mountaineer 285RLS. It had most of the features that we wanted in in out next trailer, 50 amp electric, full queen bed, large fridge. And it fit in the space we have in our driveway. The Mountaineer's don't have the bling of the Montana's & the Montana Big Sky's but they are built in the same factory. I would not want to full time in this trailer, still a little small. But I feel it would do fine for the 2 of us on a trip of several weeks
