does anyone know where the power inverter is in a keystone montana 2005 model

Sorry, Not owning a Montana, I'd bet someone that does will be through soon.
I'd venture a guess it's pretty close to the batteries, or should be. You might trace the cables from the batteries to the inverter / converter /charger.

While ours is a bit newer and a Montana High Country version, will 'guess' that it's behind the bulkhead in the basement. There are only a few screws that hold that panel in place. I just replaced our inverter when the low end computer style cooling fan used by WYCO started moaning and groaning.

I have 2005 Montana 2955RL, mine is located behind braker panel.

Can you actually access it for replacement by pulling the breaker panel? Ours is just behind the breaker panel and plugged into it. But about all you can do is look at it. You still have two heavy battery wires and a ground plus the four fasteners to the deck.

Yes you can access it by pulling out the breaker panel and removing the wooden vent that is next to it. It is a little tight with all the wiring that is in there, but it can be done very easily.
I just replaced mine about 2 months ago.
