New 5th Hitch, maybe

A question with maybe no answer:

Is there a direct replacement for an old 16k RBW fifth hitch? Ours is maybe 20 years old or more and starting to bind.

I have seen mixed reviews for Reese. Some say Curt is a good hitch. Others say B&W is a solid hitch and made in USA. It has been a long time since I shopped for a hitch and so far RV parts dealers are no help.

I want a direct replacement because I want to use the existing bed rails. No way am I going to drill more holes in the frame for new rails.

A few hundred bucks one way or the other is not a big deal. I do not want to compromise.

Safe travels, GT

Go on etrailer.com and send them a message. They may have an answer.

I would find someone with industry standard rails in their truck then measure them and compare with yours. If the rails are the same and the spacing is identical I would get a B&W Patriot.

I have the B&W Patriot 18K 5th wheel hitch installed in my bed with rails that are above the bed. If requested, I can do some measurements to ensure it fits.
