That is a loaded question! You will get close to a 100+ response and everyone has their opinion.

Pleas provide what price class you want to be in and do you full time + what size truck do you want a 3/4 ton, 1 ton SRW, 1 ton DRW or a 4500/5500 series Cab and Chassis model. The response will help narrow what type of 5er to buy.

Best is based on what you can afford and how much truck you want to buy to tow it

Since you liked Tiffin, Vanleigh Fifth Wheels (Owned by Tiffin) makes one 34' 11". They offer 3 lines Pinecrest (lowest end), Vilano (mid) and Beacon (top). I know the floor plans for the Vilano and Beacons are identical...don't know about Pine Crest. I'm trying to work out a deal for one now.

Tiffin family is Bob, Van and Leigh (or Bob, Leigh and Van) Father, Son and Grandson. Fifth Wheel business named after Van and Leigh (Vanleigh) just started up about 4 -5 yrs ago I think. Check them out.

Looking in the $70-110 range, 34-38 ft long. Travel and winter in south. Ford super duty three quarter ton diesel.

There's really no best one for the money. Two identical 5ers can sit on the lot and one's a keeper and the other needs multiple trips back to the dealer.
IMO one of the best bang for the bucks is Montana.

Its all about the floor plan. And your personal requirements. Some people dont mind sitting on the toilet with their knees against the door and thighs rubbing cabinets.

70-110k bring in some interesting options. But for new 5th wheel and only a 3/4 ton superduty. Your probably looking at an artic fox. Like a 35-5! 5th wheel price range is good. What you lack will be ability to tote some pin weight in a F-250.

If you go used! Excel, Nu-Wa Newmar. All be it in Select models prob 35ft would be max and still be under the limit on pin weight

Buy a 1 ton SRW at minimum. F-350, not F-250.

Coming from a quality Class A, my guess is your going to be pretty disappointed in the "solidness" or quality of any 38' fifth wheel that can be towed by a SRW truck.

The trailers that can compete with the kind of quality a Tiffin DP has are going to require a F-350 DRW. Or larger.

We have a 2013 Excel which is considered a 34 footer (actually 35', 5"). It has too much pin weight for most srw's. We tried and it wasn't comfortable. Our dually is a little overmatched but I feel much more secure towing.

In your price range you will probably find the units will be heavier and your 3/4 ton may not be enough truck.

You probably will buy nothing but heartache for that kind of money, if you buy new. I suggest buying used. Then, all or most of the serious problems will have been fixed by the previous owner.
Have a look at the used Excel models, and the used Nuwa, (Hitchhiker) models. Also, check in with Kansas RV Center. They have a bunch of very nice, fully checked out, 5th wheels for sale.

DRW I hope. With a trailer that size I'd go F450.

You'll need to be looking for a mid size fifth wheel trailer if using a 3/4 ton. My Grand Design Reflection trailer is a bunk house 36' with 4 slides, and it weighs 11K lbs. dry with a 2K kingpin weight dry. By the time you load up the trailers, they weigh substantially more.

That's about all a F250 diesel needs to handle. A duallie would be better if you're going to be towing in mountains and really putting the miles on the truck/trailer.

I have a 2016, 34RL Cedar Creek that I tow with a 2008 2500 6.7L Cummins, with a 6 SPD auto, 4X4 and 3:73 gear set. Trailer is 36' long.
You can get a 34RL2 Cedar Creek for under $65,000 from Jeff Couch RV Nation. Here is a link to Jeff Couch RV Nation; https://www.couchsrvnation.com/fores...ek%22%5D%7D%7D

Just a suggestion to review for a decent 5er.

Now you need to remember that most of the components that are used in a trailer are used by most manufactures. So what you need to review is not the bling but the mechanics and structure of the trailer. Such as frame depth, axles weights, tires and wall construction. This is were your researcher effort should be.
