New Recliners

Well, we finally did it. Our factory Lazyboy powered recliners had to be replaced. Talk about cheap!! The crappy faux leather on them was peeling so bad that every time I leaned my head against them, I came back with a bunch of faux leather bits on my me. So, I went to RecPro.com and ordered a set of their recliners in "Oatmeal" cloth.

They came in 3 large boxes from Fedex and were delivered in less than 2 weeks.

Getting our old recliners out was much harder than getting the new ones in. The old recliners were bolted together on a common frame. I had to turn them over and unbolt them from the frame to get them into managable pieces. Probably could have gotten them out as one piece if I had some help, but because it was just me, I ended up taking them apart.

Putting the new ones together is a breeze. They connect to the center console with a pin and hook kind of system. You algin the pins with the holes in the opposite unit and they just click together.

Finished product looks great. We'll be ordering a matching sleeper sofa in the new future. Gave the old ones away for free.Well, we finally did it. Very nice recliner. The fabric and color is a huge improvement. Congratulations.

When we took our jackknife sofa out there is a wooden box under it. Can we still get recliner sofa?

I would love to do that, but I have the so called California recliner with foot stool. There is a cabinet in the center of my rear window area that houses the water pump. So I am limited to the size and they can't be a dual unit....Or, just trade the rig in on a new one...,LOL
