Newbie

Hello, my name is Mike and I have just obtained a American Star 5th wheel camper and I am sort of embarrassed but I have never owned a camper before, I done all my camping via way of tent but age is saying no to that now..... lol.... so if I ask silly questions please overlook it, thanks

Very true.....ok I am trying to locate the manual override for the slide out, but I'm not sure what I am looking for, and I am trying to locate a manual for the camper, but no luck.....any ideas or tips

Have you seen any cranks in a compartment that you don't know what they're for ?
Usually odd shaped ends.

Keep in mind this is a very general answer, for electric motor driven rack and pinion system, but, on my durango, the slide motor is on the opposite side of where the slide is and on the slide side is a hole thru the frame that the wrench pictured will fit into and go over the rod with cross pin that is turned by that crank to move the slide. if you have a cable system, or hydraulic ram, that is probably a different scenario.

Welcome...... Certain questions are asked over and over again and some people can get a little testy...... You'll appease them if you search first, and then say you did but you need to know etc etc.......
