Norcold Refridgerator issue and quick ??

Hello everyone and good day:

I just got a new to me 5th wheel and it has a 2 way propane or electric refridgerator. Well I can make the pilot light stay on in propane mode...I can turn it to electric mode just finr but all it does is gurgle and does not get cool at all. I have the users manual and I know Im doing it right. Heres my concern and questions:

Isnt there supposed to be some kind of fan that I should hear or is it a silent operating fridge?

The trailer has been stored and covered since 2006 and is in almost new shape inside with no leaks. Is there something I need to do to get the fridge working that I dont know about? Like a storage mode?

It was stored on level ground. I did read about removeing the fridge and setting it on its side to unplug or remix the amonia or something. I dunno....Im clueless about these things.

Can someone help me? Everything else is working in my trailer ..AC..Stove>>toilet>>>shower...everything but the fridge.

Thanks everyone.

Jay

Ive been useing the search function and find lots of problems with the norcold units.

I still need help with those questions if ya know the awnsers. Im pretty good at internet research but am comming up fruitless here. The fridge just gurgles...thats it.

You say the pilot light comes on, after a short 'warm up' period, does the the burner come on? If not, you might have a plugged nozzle. Remove it and clean it out, being careful not to change the size of the orifice. Under 120 v, does the element get hot? Even though the fridge is LP and 120 v, it needs 12v DC from the battery for the electronic control panel to work, make sure 12 v system is charged and working.
You won't hear any fans when operating, it is pretty silent. It also takes overnight to cool down, they aren't fast cooling like a compressor unit.

Where is the burner? Must be in the compartment outside the trailer. I see lots of black plumbing and it is just warm to the touch...should something be hot back there? Im not sure where the AC heating element is...I will look at the manual and see if I can locate it to check that it is hot. Something back there must get how for it to work...ac or LP right?

Thanks so much Bflinn

Oh yea....new 12 volt deep cycle is charged...
