One of my outrigger won't go down; is just clicks. Any ideas how to trouble shoot it.

One of my outrigger won't go down; is just clicks. Any ideas how to trouble shoot it. It hadn't been used for 14 months.
To make things worse it's the first day of three week trip.

If it's mechanical just give it a whack with something it is jammed and the electric motor can't move it, it probably just needs a love tap...

NormPete, please tell us what kind of rv you have. It is easier to get help when we know what kind of rv you own.

if u r in the 5th wheel blog you have a 5er. i had a front landing gear go out on my montana. the top gear was spinning on the shaft of the worm drive. there is no way to fix it w/o a machine shop. i ordered one from lippert and they sent it to me at a site i was going to be at for 4 days. took me about an hour to put the new one in.
reply if you need more help.
