Open Range RV's

Hi, I am new to this and will be buying my first 5th wheel soon. I am planning on living in my camper year-round, including ND winters. Is anyone familiar with the "Open Range" brand. I want to buy a new, top quality camper. Any suggestions/advice?

Do a LOT of research. Scour this and other forums (many brand and/or manufacturer specific forums out there) for user comments and problems. Choose what best suits your needs. Don't scrimp on your tow vehicle.

Open Range is a new company so they don't have much of a track record. Last winter there where 4 new ones in the park we stayed at and 3 of them had major design and workmanship problems, I'm talking about major leaks and one had sidewall cracking that looked like it was caused by frame flex.

jrandolff, Welcome to the forum. Do a lot of research before jumping into anything. You should get lots of opinions here.

Have friends who have had one for a year--no problems.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
I would review this website for TT (travel trailers) and 5er's. You should check out the brand on the RV Consumer Group web site, which is the RV bible that every RV Dealer goes by. Here is the link. http://rv.org/
I think the first year's cost is $140. Which may seem like a lot of money but if you are going to full time in a 5er, then you will want a unit that will withstand the rigors of full timing.
I would check out Arctic Fox 5er's I have also heard very good things about them and I believe these models are highly rated. Another model of 5er's to check out is Mobil Suites.
