Opposing slide issues.

my husband and I are planning to buy a fifth wheel that has two opposing slides that when out the fifth wheel is approximately 14 - 15' wide.

is this a problem with campgrounds in the us?

Welcome georgeteri to irv2.
Most campgrounds have aloud spacing on power hookup side with space required for extensions on that side. Only problems at times maybe trees or a high power pedestal, you will have to position your slides to fit between them.
The apron or door entrance side should not be a problem that side is for the table, your awning and usually has more space.

Georgeteri,
Welcome to iRV2!

We have been camping in fivers with opposing slides since 2002. Only had a problem one time in a really old campground with a tree in the wrong place. Management moved us to another space. Have fun!

I actually have three slides and although I am careful in NF and State park campgrounds I usually do not have an issue. Sure makes for a nice wide living area.

i have been in a few older campgrounds where it was tight, but was able to put all slides out. One trick I do is carry a stick that is about 4" longer than the opposite door side slide extends. Using that stick as a measuring tool, my wife and I use that the make sure where we park will have no obstructions. Better than finding out after we're unhooked.

The apposing slides only encroach on your site so no worries.
