Plumbing under my sink

Have a couple of leaks. Are these fitting still available. Or should I replace with SharkBite fittings and modernize?Click image for larger version

Here is an over all photo of the space. The tall ones in the back go to the faucet, and will not seal again now. So I want to out in new faucet (which started this whole thing) but new faucet has 3/8 connectors.

I would go with these.
They're available in a variety of lengths and ends. Look for those with stainless ends rather than plastic.

Sharkbites work great, but not on flex hose. If you swap the flex hose to pex, then I would use shark bites. Otherwise, may want to replace with similar IMHO.

Unfortunately, those hoses only replace two of what I need to replace. I need to connect the new faucet to the old connections and Lowe's nor Home Depot carry the ends to connect to the old pipe and then to connect to 3/8.

What is the hose that is used in my 2008 camper? Is PEX a brand name for plastic pipe?

The hose looks like a standard flex hose for a faucet and PEX is a trade name of the now commonly used plastic pipe. (PEX stands for cross-linked polyethylene. It is a type of plastic tubing made from high-density polyethylene. It is used for radiant floor heat tubing and for water supply. PEX has a lot of advantages over copper piping, such as: It is far less expensive as a raw material.)

I guess I’m not understanding what exactly you have and need? Your new faucet should be the same as your old one and the flex tube should connect to it but I am not looking at your new faucet and you did not state what is leaking, the hose, the faucet, or the connections?

The connectors on the PEX can be replaced if that is where your leak is and a shark bite connector will work. You just have to get the correct one to fit your pipe and matches your flex tube for your faucet.

A couple more photos and a description of what is or was leaking would help.

If you're going to ask for help with plumbing connections without knowing the correct nomenclature, you're not going to be able to make any headway. It's like ordering chinese takeout in spanish. Add to that, plumbing nomenclature can vary regionally in the same trade.

That said, the flexible supplies in the photo seem to have ends that look to me like 1/2" sink supply connections. In photo 1191 it appears that the white flex hose has a 1/2" sink swivel connector. That connector has a swivel nut that connects to the black fitting that's swaged onto the blue pex tube. That swivel probably has a rubber seal that's acorn-shaped that seals on the fitting on the blue pex. That is likely a standard 1/2" sink supply. BTW, there's teflon on the male threads of that fitting, if that connection uses a rubber seal, the teflon does nothing, the seal is made by the rubber washer.

Your best bet is to properly ID each end of the connections you need to make, then find a new flex hose that matches. If you improperly identify the connections, you won't get a hose that fits unless you take the old hose with the new faucet to try to match up the ends. Photos help, but it's tricky to gauge dimension from a photo, and some fittings use nominal dimensions, some use OD, some are pipe thread dimensions; all in context with the type of fitting being described. If you're not 100% sure of the nomenclature, you're better off just making a physical match.

The hose in the photo is a 1/2 FIP to 1/2 FIP 20 inch hose as stated on the label in the photo. They go from the water line to the outside shower. That's the easy one. I was trying to find another plastic hose instead of using the abrasive metal one.

The old faucet uses the 1/2 inch supply connection. The new faucet uses the 3/8 compression fitting, that usually attaches to a water valve under a home sink. I will be going to Lowes today to see if I can find the 1/2 to 3/18 coupler and that will resolve the faucet connection issues.

I have used the stainless wrapped hoses in the house for many years. I was concerned about using in in an RV that vibrates going down the road. That is why I was trying to find the rubber replacement hose instead of the abrasive metal ones used in a house.

Pictures of the old faucet connections (1/2), new faucet connections with 3/8 compression fittings and the pipe to the faucet (1/2 connector). I'm gonna look for 1/2 to 3/8 compression adapter and go that route. This bit of cold seems to have shrunk the pipes a bit to make everything tighter than I desire for plastic fittings.

The stainless flex hose is fine to use in lieu of the rubber hose flex tubing. The movement and vibration of your RV will not be cause any issues with the stainless flex hoses. You should be able to locate a 1/2 IPT to 3/8 compression flex hose and just nut use the compression nut and ferrel that came on your faucet. Click on this link.

I was more concerned with what the stainless flex hose would rub against.

I honestly don’t think you will have any issues with it. If you are concerned you may be able to get the flexible hose version from an RV dealer or RV wholesale parts house. Good luck with what ever you decide to try.

Hence what I was asking about. Where to buy the replacement hose?
