Propane Gas Detector

I don't know if this is the right forum for my question.
When we travel (obviously plugged in to 12 volt) our LP detector will be alarming when we stop for gas, etc. We have the LP on as the refrigerator runs with it. We don't smell the LP in the living quarters or in the LP compartment.
Is it possible that our (gas) engine exhaust can trigger the alarm?

I know ours is a dual gas alarm. Propane or carbon monoxide , so I think it could be a possibility.
