Propane refrigerator

Getting ready to take our 5th wheel out for the first time. Is it safe to run the refrigerator on propane while you haul it?

Yes, I believe almost everybody does run the fridge while in transit.
Some people recommend you turn off the fridge when refueling at a gas station.
And some people recommend you turn off the fridge when refilling the propane tank.
Have fun out there

I will add the inevitable statement about: "some tunnels or other unique road conditions require you to also turn off propane on a vehicle or towable".

And 'those' tunnels, bridges, ferries are Marked ---signage ----PRIOR to encountering them

RVs are 'self contained' and BOTH RV Fridge MFGs have statements in their operating manuals about traveling with fridge ON.

Dometic
"When the vehicle is moving, leveling is not critical as the rolling and pitching movement of the vehicle will pass to either side of level, keeping the refrigerant from accumulating in the piping."

Norcold
"The cooling unit or it's performance are not affected when the vehicle is in motion."

RV Fridges have built in safety features in addition to the safety features built in to the RV LP System

Thank you for the response. Just a short trip up the Oregon coast, so no bridges or tunnels. But will definitely keep that in mind.
