While I don't have the Pullrite, I do have the Anderson and all I can say is " I absolutely love it ". If you go the Pullrite route I'm pretty sure you won't look back. The Pullrite system with the inverted ball looks to be much easier to hook up.
And once hooked up; no more chucking or banging
no more pops and clanks from conventional 5th whl
will unhook easier on uneven surfaces
no more needing a buddy to lift hitch out or in
I'm pretty confident you will be satisfied, esp being able to rotate ball mount 180 deg when using in a short box set up.

Cheers

I believe the MSRP for this is $895 which is pretty steep. Hopefully a dealer will give you a break. I plan to get the rail mount Andersen for about half that.

I am interested in this hitch as well, but at $1125 ($820 US) and $1010 Cdn, seems like a lot of money for all that aluminum or steel you are buying.

I've seen them for under $600 online. Will get a quote from my local RV repair shop tomorrow and then decide. Talked to a manager at Pullrite today and asked for a reference program but they don't have anything like that. He promised though to look into customer references and get back to me on this.

Ok - he will charge me $600 for the hitch, around $270 for the custom kit for my Ram and 4hrs installation time. There is none available though in CA but 59 in Texas. He will check tomorrow with Pullrite how compatible the adapter is with different kinpins.

We are talking about a completely different and brand new hitch in this thread, the Superlite.

Are Safety Chains required in some states with this hitch. I have seen on other forums where some states require Safety Chains with the Andersen. They consider it a goose neck, not a regular fifth wheel connection. Any thoughts or ideas?

I still like a PullRite but look at this. http://www.irv2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273000

Once again, a different hitch than what the OP is asking about. The SuperLite has only been out a few weeks.

The only advantage I see in this over the Anderson is the funnel like connection where you can be misaligned a tad. I'd buy one in a minute except for weight and cost. The hitch is to be had for anywhere from $600-$900. But then you have to have rails to mount it, I have the RAM 5th wheel prep so a picture frame for me. There goes another couple bills and another 80 lbs of weight. If they built one with my specific puck mounts I think I'd look closer.

If you have the puck system, you could get the goose neck ball and then the Andersen gooseneck mount Ultimate and not deal with the picture frame adapter. I already had the picture frame so I went with the Ultimate rail mount.

Just got one!

Just left the dealership and had to post this. I have tried to do extensive research on this hitch. NOBODY had reported that they had one since it was just released to dealers at the end of Jan. So I took a leap and got one after talking to a rep from the company.

First report, it tows like a dream with no chucking whatsoever. It was just a short drive, but it felt wonderful. I will post in June when I tow to destination.

Hitching and unhitching was a breeze. I previously had a Silverado 2500 HD short bed with a Pullrite Superglide 4400 which I loved. But at 215lbs for just the hitch, it was a beast to put it in the bed. This hitch is about 60 lbs and I can lift it with one hand! I also use the clean bed technology rails, and it took me less than 10 minutes to get everything off the bed.

For those who were concerned about the 'violent' motion when the ball was lowering into the funnel, it is the truck that moves, not the RV. The jacks never moved!

All things considered, this is a great piece of work. The techs who installed it (their first) said that they can't imaging using anything else.
