I contacted Reese and got new decals for my current 16k slider. When the weather warms up I'm going to clean it up, maybe paint it, put new decals on, and sell it. Going to put that towards the Andersen. I think of random questions about the Andersen here and there but can't remember them at the moment haha. Either way it's definitely my next hitch.

AUH rocks. I use with chains straight to the attachmements on truck bed as a part of the puck system.

No...I wasn't aware of a redesign. Still use the set screws as far as I know.

Orion, The second paragraph says it all!
It has a Lippert pin box.
I have over 20k miles on my Anderson Ultimate in 3 years and my Demco pin plate is still straight/flat. There are 4 small burrs where the set screws hit the plate, but if i sell the trailer without the Anderson, I'll hit those burrs with a file.

Mine has a lippert pin box but the biggest difference I see is weight. My pin weight is over 1000# lighter than that one.

Redesign was in the hitch frame. Came about after a couple, well-publicized, hitch failures during emergency stops. The original Andersen "crush test" video was b.s., and I felt that way the first time I ever saw it. No real-world value as the =real= forces acting on a FW hitch are mostly fore and aft, not vertical. These failures just proved what a lot of people were saying when they first came out. Oh, the failures were only on the aluminum version, not the steel version, IIRC.
