In the market for a quiet generator to support a Montana High Country (41ft).
Appreciate any recommendations, thank you.

I’ll bite, a Honda 2k will. Also being said, what are you wanting to run?

People will scoff, but I bought a Predator 3500 this spring and couldn't be happier. Starts our 15k AC without a hiccup.

Welcome to the forum.
How much wattage are you seeking, type of fuel?
Hard to beat those that will run tandem depending on your needs.

To charge batteries and run the coffee maker a 2000 watt Honda. My rig came with a 12,500 watt liquid cooled diesel unit. Still won't power everything at once though.

Love my Honda 2000 to run micro, lights and charge batteries. Running 1 or more A/Cs things get expensive, heavy and loud.

For the very best in quality AND quiet, two names should come to mind.....Honda and Yamaha!

Howdy Harley, I hate to be the one to say it but a "quiet generator" is a unicorn. Sadly, no such thing.

For a 'less noisy generator' (sorry, semantics...), an inverter generator is probably the answer. As other have said, Honda and Yamaha. The units from Champion seem to be getting pretty good reviews. To really accomplish "less noisy", a "box" around the generator is the way to go. Obviously needs to allow airflow but deflecting the noise up and away is helpful.

We have the Champion 3100 and are happy with it. We don't use it much.

If I had to do it all over again I would have bought 2 2000W units and a parallel kit, it would be much more versatile.

We have a Champion 3400watt inverter generator. every bit as quite and reliable as the Honda's. It would be my first choice.

I am a fan of the Honda's.

The last time I looked Yamaha generators had a pair of handles and you carried it in front of you. My back will not allow me to do that.

I can carry a pair of Honda 2000s, one in each hand.

We have a Chamtion 3100 now for about four or five years. Quiet (especially so in econo mode), very good fit and finish, starts first pull every time. Runs one air conditioner just fine. Paid about $600-700 iirc. Would by again.

New models are available with electric start with wireless remote. Would suggest to get this feature.

We choose the Yamaha EF2000-IS V2 and there pretty quiet....we have the parallel kit also so it gives us the versatility. Another nice thing is there only 40lbs and the size of a small suitcase so easy to move around. Honda also makes nice units too.

I actually heard a Honda 2000 running at a 5k event. It was used to keep the time clock and the loud speakers.

It was very quiet.
