This is what I thought also. Tried dealing on a leftover 2019 fifth wheel a couple of weeks ago and they were only about 25% below MSRP. They were not very eager to lower there price anymore. Decided to walk away for the time being and see if they are a little more willing to deal after it still sits there another couple of months.

We paid 40+% off MSRP on our rig. It had been on the lot for right at 11 months, we got lucky on a phone call and spoke directly with the owner and he wanted it =gone=! :-)

IMO, the MSRP from most companies is just some number that whatever dealer you're talking to pulls from their nether regions. The only way to get a common MSRP, is if the mfr has a "build and price" option on their site. I've seen prices for identical models across a state from each other thousands different. The more expensive dealer always seems to blame it on "shipping", like it's going to cost $2-3k to haul a trailer 200-300 miles. Riiiiiiight...

Again, IMO, if you can't get at least 30% off MSRP, find another dealer.

According to Keystone's web site, the Base Model MSRP is about $86,500.

Depending on how the one you're looking at might be equipped with Options, plus the Delivery Charges, and you'll have a reasonable estimate of the Total.

Multiply that amount by the suggested 60% to 65% someone suggested and you have a better idea on what 'seems to be fair market retail'.

If the specific Unit you're looking at would total $90K, well 65% of that comes to $58,500.
60% would be $54,000.

Reasonable to believe this is a challenging environment for Dealers to move inventory.

Good luck and Happy Negotiating.

If 59k is the sale price you need to know the MSRP. If the MSRP is 64k then 59k is way way too high.

If 64k is MSRP then said price needs to be 44.8k or 30% off.

This, my last two were 32 and 35 off.

1st of June if things aren't opened up much and camping is still on hold in most places then you might find the bargin of a lifetime as you could be the onlybuyer at that dealership

Thanks for all the advice.....time is definitely on my side. The original plan was to wait 2 more years before getting another one so I'm in no hurry. I would be tempted to kick some tires though if the deals get right. I'm going to watch the market and see what it does. Very worst case scenario we wait the 2 years and are still on our original plan. I have a feeling with everything going on some deals will be there at some point. Just gotta be patient and stay healthy. If we get sick a camper won't mean much

If you are willing to walk out and wait it out then you might get even a better deal. I had to wait a week for a call back, but in the end I got a 97,500 MSRP trailer for 51,900. Don't be in a hurry, now is the time to buy. This is my 10th trailer and by far the best deal on a new one so far

I just bought a 2020 Raptor right before all the corona BS. It was on order for 2 months and came the week before the country shut down. 121k was the MSRP. I I paid 77k so that’s about 36% off. I thought it was a fair deal. Other dealers outside of California were higher. Some were lower but overall i am happy with what we paid. Especially since the only other dealer in CA was asking 82k. But of course now that everything has tanked and nobody is buying they dropped the price to 72k. I’m still happy with my purchase.

I've found some dealers will just discount more than others. I got 35% off my last trailer. A buddy could only get about 23% off a nearby dealer that was the only one with the floor plan he wanted. fwiw, his dealer did have a much larger/bigger/nicer showroom and better coffee

2 issues apply to the current covid economy and pricing. Most dealers are not seeing as many people come in the door so they are eager to sell for reasonable pricing. Second there are not any new units coming in either since the factorys are shut down. If you are looking at a hot model you likely won't get as much discount. One that has been there a while and maybe several examples on the lot likely can be had at better discount. I just bought a RAM 1500 Laramie to replace the Jeep which had been used as a toad. The had one on the lot that worked for me and with their desire to sell and the factory incentives, I got a pretty good deal. Now if I were to have them search the dealer's data base and bring one in, I would've paid more.

If you have the money to buy and time to search you can probably do well in a purchase. If financing interest rates have lowered some and there may be financing incentives available. Not sure what the political climate is in IN but for vehicles it seems that MI has loons in charge and no telling when auto factories will open there. Bottom line I expect that when the factories do reopen, not as many will go out the door daily as they set up the "social distancing rules" and required cleaning. Might actually see 8 hours work for the 8 hours paid.
