Reese Airborne Sidewinder sticking

Anyone with an Airborne Sidewinder have issues with it sticking when going around turns? Last year I towed over 9,000 miles and halfway through the trip I noticed it sticking. I took it apart and lubed the washers but that didn’t help. The same thing is happening this year. I had the dealer replace the nylon washers after my trip last year. I have the turret bolts torqued to 40lbs.

Did you torque the turret bolts to 150 ft/lbs in 'X' pattern in 2-3 stages then loosen them and retorque to 45 ft/lbs?

You might want to purchase 'Service Kit' and redo the set up

I know the dealer torqued them to 150lbs and then backed off to 45lbs when they originally installed the pin. I assumed they did the same thing when they installed the new upper wear disk and the wear plate. I will take the sidewinder apart, lube it and put it back together per the instructions and see if that take care of the problem.

Thanks for including the instructions. I do have the original, but it is nice to have a backup.
