Our last 3 rv's have had residential fridges and so far so good. I hope this turns out well for you. Repairs are the downside of having one in the tight spaces of an rv. You would think access to service them would be a common sense thing but we know how that goes. Not much help to you but our Pinnacle has an access door behind our Whirlpool which would at least allow for the possibility of a repair without removing it. I'm not sure how common that is but it was a bit of a selling point for me.

Think yours has that access due to production line set up for absorption fridges and your model came with residential
(absorption was the option)

FYI, My DRV and all I have seen with a residential fridge has a small door in the wall behind the fridge so you can access the plug and the water line for the ice maker.

Good luck.

Got the GFCI to reset. Fridge not on GFCI.

Fridge temperature setting on “More Cold” and still is not getting cold.

Had fridge repairman come out…he could not access the back of fridge.

Cannot pull fridge all the way out to access, as center island is in the way.

In order to repair/replace fridge, will have to remove the center island.

Then, take large window out(over dining table) to get old/new fridge out.

The fridge we have is a Whirlpool, which this specific model has been discontinued. Have a call in to RV manufacturer to find out what kind of fridges are installed in new 5th Wheels, as brackets must match old with new, or won’t hold the new….
Are you sure you can't take the doors off and the drawer out to remove the fridge?

Hello.
Our DRV has the door in back(access on the exterior). There is enough room to reach in and unplug the unit. The water line runs across the the opening, but there is no access to unhooking the line if we had to.
We sold the DRV 2 weeks ago, as is. New buyer is going to replace the refridgerator and put a freezer in the living room, too. Go figure…..

i'll pass this on. i have no idea of whether it will help or not.

we have a friend whose refrigerator stopped cooling to under 50 degrees. it is a residential refrigerator and in a house but the remedy is the same. they called the repair man and he diagnosed the problem as dirty coils. they became less able to transfer heat and he said the refrigerant got frozen and wasn't flowing. he cleaned the coils and told them to unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours. they did and then plugged it back in and said it was back to working just fine.
