Removable hitch mounting options for F150

Hello!

I am planning on towing a fifth wheel with a 2017 Ford F150 Supercab (8ft bed) with heavy-duty payload package (which raises the payload to around 2500lbs from the usual 1700-1900lbs). Based on my calculations this should be sufficient for a small fifth wheel (around 25ft length).
I've been researching fifth wheel hitches and I would like to go for a light weight hitch that uses a ball connection (e.g. Anderson Ultimate or Pull-Rite SuperLite), but I am looking for a way to mount the hitch without bolted bed rails. Are there options out there that allow quick removal of the entire setup to allow regular use of the bed? (I'd like to keep the weight of the overall setup down, but this is no must.)
I am aware of OE puck systems but could only find F250s that have this feature.
Pull-Rite has a clean-bed-technology (C-B-T) system that is removable quickly (-> demonstration video on youtube) but they don't seem to have mounting brackets for an F150 (again only for 3/4 ton trucks).
What other options do I have?
Thank you very much in advance!

I use a BW unit. This is on an F250 but look into them - they might have a 150 unit or the 250 unit might fit both. A lot of the geometry on these trucks is the same now.

With this set up, you can use a goose neck ball, 5th wheel, or just turn over the goose neck ball for a flush surface. No rails bolted to the bed. You don’t have to take the bed off to mount it but it’s easier and I had my bed off anyway.

This is the under-bed part for a 17 F150

We also have the B&W Companion. No rails. You can remove both the top and bottom pieces. Save the gooseneck ball, with the hitch out it fills the hole in the bed (ball goes down.) People seem to like Curt, too. I think the B&W is heavier but two pieces, so easier for a person to move but heavier in total.

They make one for the f150, go out to b&w website, you can search there for the model #, then you can buy the Andersen or pullrite.

ok, thank you for the input! But going back to the light weight ball-type hitches (e.g. Anderson Ultimate or Pull-Rite SuperLite), would there be any way to mount them without bolted rails?

You're always going to have rails of some type. Under the bed allows you to use your bed when the hitch is removed. You can't just attach the hitch to the steel bed if that is what you are asking.

I have the B/W turnover ball and it's invisible/hidden when the hitch is removed (other than the hole in the middle that the hitch goes into).

The BW companion set up is heavy - around 90lbs, but it’s heavy because it is built to safely carry the load. I wouldn’t want anything lighter or less substantial connecting my truck to a pin box on a heavy trailer. It really is an ideal solution.

This is what it looks like when you’re not towing:

I think it was a typo. The hitch is about 190 lbs.
