Please tell us you torqued all the bolts?
On my third hitch--2 of the reg companions, current one for puck mounts.
First one I got was used and I did not check the bolts--eventually rounded out some of the leg holes.

No torque used on the bolts, just strong armed it like I always do. I will recheck the bolts after being driven like I do on lug nuts. I only use a torque wrench on head bolts, otherwise it's not been a issue and I have done a lot of mechanic work over the years. It works for me!

If you have that torqure wrench, I too have to agree with Wingnut. At 90 lb ft of torque, it always surprises me how tight that really is
.

As a note, I just checked mine for the first time in a long time, many miles and they were still at 90 - or at least the wrench, and it is a current calibrated pro level wrench, clicked at that number.
