Renting our Fifth Wheels specifically

I am posting this question in the fifth wheel section because I think there are distinctions and considerations that make a fifth wheel very different from a MH or bumper pull TT in this area.

I am curious to hear experiences from people who have rented their 5ers, either through online companies or individually.

I am not looking for generalities per se (“your RV will be trashed” or “make sure you have insurance”) but more of real life experience from people who rented fifth wheels and how they overcame the obstacles associated with this particular RV type.

Hope the question makes sense and thanks.

My son rented one in Ohio in 2018. The company moved it to/from the campground, because he did not have a truck to pull it. We know a couple on Ohio that rents TT, and they delivery/pick up to make sure the TT is towed with the correct vehicle. They only rent to within 100 miles of their place.

You may need to be concerned about the customer towing with the correct vehicle.
